"Unknown Treasure" Tan Leather Vest

Description

Leather vest from an unknown production. Circa 1950s. Tan leather vest with cloth lining.  Four button closure at front center.  Pocket on each side of vest.  Red Western Costume stamp on interior lining.  Below the stamp is a Western Costume label that reads “Western Costume Co. / HOLLYWOOD / NO. 99-2120-7 / NAME G. Cooper / CHEST 42 SLEEVE / WAIST INSEAM.”

Condition

Leather is dried and cracked throughout. Original sheen of leather can be seen under lapels. Sweat stains at armpits with heavy discoloration and cracking of leather with areas of loss.  Dark accretions throughout. Small holes in leather throughout. Tear at back of neck. Lining separating from vest at armholes.
