"Unknown Treasure" Gray and Black Tweed Three-Piece Suit

Description

Three (3) piece ensemble from an unknown production from the 1990s. Costume consists of suit jacket, vest, and a pair of pants.

Jacket: Gray and black tweed single-breasted suit jacket with three buttons and a proper left breast pocket, and two pockets at hips.

Vest: Gray and black wool tweed vest with a blue and red striped interior lining and plain gray back panel. The front of the vest has six buttons, and two pockets on each side. Label on interior is partially sewn into the seam, but the visible portion reads "IT NO 4 / 40 Angels 1992 / The Costumiers to the Entertainment Industry / 119 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8AE, England. / R A. HOPKINS JUNE / 1993."

Pants: Gray and black tweed suit pants with side-slit pockets at the hips and one buttoned pocket on the proper right side of the seat, and a button fly with a hook closure at the top front. The back exterior waistband and front interior waistband both have two buttons, to attach suspenders. Interior label reads "SUIT NO 4 / 1840 Angels 1992 / The Costumiers to the Entertainment Industry / 119 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8AE, England. / SIR A. HOPKINS JUNE / 1993."

Condition

Small pinholes throughout (difficult to see in the tweed). Fabric has relatively minor pilling throughout.

Vest: Very minor staining on back panel.

Pants: Loose thread at the back waistband.
