"Lost in Space" Will Robinson's (Jack Johnson) Spiewak Planet Jacket

Description

Jacket acquired directly from New Line Productions and obtained by the production for use in "Lost in Space" (1998) for Jack Johnson's character "Will Robinson." Gray nylon and rayon jacket with front zipper closure. Flap pocket on front of each panel and proper left sleeve that each close with a snap button, and a stand-up collar with a snap button closure on front. Three tags on proper left of chest that read “JUPITER TWO,” and “will robinson,” while last has a barcode. Oval rubber patch on proper right of chest that is painted yellow and blue with embossed text reading “Jupiter / mission.” Round rubber patch on upper arm of proper right sleeve is painted blue with a yellow border and a light blue radiating star in the center. Embossed text on patch reads “a.s.o.m.a.c.”. Cuffs on each sleeve have adjustable snap buttons. Interior of obverse is lined with black quilted nylon, while back is unlined. White elastic band on interior of back with handwritten text reads “JACK.” Small black pouch attached with five black safety pins to interior of proper left side. A small piece of off-white tape is attached to top front of the pouch.

Condition

Intentional light red stain on proper right of chest, center of back, and back of proper left shoulder. Paint on name tags and patches is slightly worn and scratched. Oval patch on front of proper right side has shifted down from sticky tape and white tape is visible. Name patch on proper left of chest that reads “will robinson” is bent up on proper left side.
