"Little Orphan Annie" (Radio Series) 1940 Toy Decoder Pin

Description

Gold-toned Radio Orphan Annie secret decoder ring tie-in to the radio show "Little Orphan Annie" (1930-1942). Decoder has an eagle, shield and American flag on the obverse with 1940, the skeleton keys and “ROA” on the back. Unique serial number "95983" stamped on the reverse. Numbers and letters are along the edge of the wheel.

A pin like this was used in "A Christmas Story" (1983) by Peter Billingsley's character "Ralphie Parker." This is not a prop from that film.

Condition

Gold is worn off on several locations on eagle. Scratches throughout. Pin missing from reverse.
