"In Living Color" Blaine Edwards' (Damon Wayans) Shirt and Belt

Description

Obtained by the production for use in "In Living Color" (1990-1994) for Damon Wayans' character "Blaine Edwards." This is a two-piece lot consisting of a shirt and belt. 

Shirt was worn by Damon Wayans during the “Men on Films II” sketch which aired during on September 23, 1990, while the belt was worn during the “Men on Television” sketch which aired on April 14, 1991.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Mannequins not included.

Shirt: White cotton tuxedo-style button down shirt that appears to have been altered from original by the production. White plastic button fastens the collar. Large cut-out “bib” area between collar and rest of shirt. Lower portion of the shirt has several thin pleats around the central button-down closure. Only two buttons line up to buttonholes; otherwise, there are three buttonholes on the side of the shirt where buttons should be. Small logo in shape of sailboat with a white “N” on the sail is embroidered at the bottom of the button closure. The sleeves are made of a blousing, sheer white polyester while the cuffs are of white cotton. Nordstrom brand, size 17-35. “DAM / ON” handwritten in black ink on interior tag.

Belt: Royal blue satin belt tied in a knot.

Condition

Shirt: Several signs of alteration throughout shirt, especially where cuffs are sewn into sleeves and where it appears the obverse was cut under the collar. Two small rust-colored stains on obverse pleats. Pinholes throughout obverse and reverse. Two small rust-colored stains on reverse. Minor loose strings throughout, especially at alteration. Shirt wrinkled throughout. Collar slightly misshapen.

Belt: Slightly wrinkled and tied in knot.
