"How the West Was Won" Metal Lunchbox and Thermos

Description

Acquired from Christie's South Kensington, merchandising tie-in lunchbox and Thermos featuring “How the West Was Won" (1976-1979).

Lunchbox: Metal hinged lunchbox with a brown plastic handle. The lunchbox has an image on the front of the actors from the TV series posing in front of their house and reads "How The West Was Won" across the top in white. The back of the lunchbox shows the actors faces superimposed over a western landscape, and also reads "How / The West / Was Won" in the top corner. The sides of the lunchbox are decorated with scenes from the show. Bottom edge reads "THERMOS DIVISION / KING SEELEY THERMOS CO. / (c) 1978 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.". The top reads "THERMOS" near the handle.

Thermos: Orange plastic thermos with a brown plastic lid. The side reads "How / The West / Was Won / © 1978 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc." with an image of some Native American accessories above it. The lid reads "THERMOS" on the top.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Condition

Lunchbox: Very minor rusting on the surface near the top edge on both sides. Overall good condition.

Thermos: Some scuffing on the lid.
