"Breathless" Newspaper Clipping and Comic Book

Description

Created and obtained by the production for use in "Breathless" (1983)." This is a two (2) piece lot consisting of a newspaper clipping and a comic book.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Newspaper Clipping: Paper clipping from the Los Angeles Herald with headline that reads “The girl in the pink dress / Hostage or lover?” Clipping has black and white photo of Monica Poiccard (Valerie Kaprisky) and Jesse Lujack (Richard Gere). Clipping is adhered to a red and black piece of cloth.

Comic Book: "The Silver Surfer" comic book issue #1 with an image of Silver Surfer on front cover. Cover has text throughout that reads “SENTINEL OF THE SPACEWAYS! / THE SILVER / SURFER / BIG PREMIERE ISSUE / THE / ORIGIN / OF THE / SILVER /SURFER! / AN ALL-NEW BOOK-LENGTH MARVEL EPIC!”

Condition

Newspaper Clipping: Fraying to edges of cloth material.  Paper has yellowed over time.

Comic Book: Color has faded from over exposure to light. Pages have yellowed. Accretion on top surface at proper left center edge. Reverse cover is missing. Minor creases.
