"Unknown Treasures" Coat and Robe Costumes

Description

Two costumes from unknown productions. One is a long striped coat, while the other is a dressing robe with belt.

Coat: Blue silk and tan linen striped coat with shawl lapel, decorative blue rope piping on obverse, and three decorative gold-tone buttons. Lapel and sleeve cuffs are a tan quilted satin material. Bermans and Nathans label sewn into interior at neckline with handwriting that reads “J. MCENERY / MANTALINI.”

Robe: Gray linen dressing robe with dark red looped print throughout. Robe has shawl style lapel, double-breast pocket, and two side pockets. Ends of sleeves are cuffed. Robe has a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer label on interior at collar that reads “NAME HOWARD KEEL / NO 1629.”

Robe Belt: Gray linen dressing robe belt with dark red looped print throughout.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Condition

Coat: Visible deterioration throughout sleeves, shoulders, and bottom trim. Visible stain on obverse proper left of center, below buttons. Visible staining on obverse and reverse that look like water stains. Visible stains on lower reverse that look like markings from a highlighter. Tear to interior lining at center. Holes to interior lining by label.

Robe: Sweat stain at underarms. Visible pinholes from how previously displayed. Slight yellowing around collar.

Robe Belt: Minor creases throughout. Visible pinholes from how previously displayed. Minor spots of discoloration.
